Universalism

To say that something is universal is to make a claim that it includes, depending on context, everyone or everything. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is universal in the sense that the rights are for everyone, and also in the sense that it is the most universally signed code which humanity has ever produced.

A simple distinction can be made between on one hand actual universalism - which actually aims to include everyone, and on the other hand fake universalism - which tries to pass off exclusion of marginalized and invisibilized people as being universal inclusion.
