Dicanaization is the active form of [[dicana]]: The acts of [[dichotomization]], [[cateization]] and [[narrativization]].

Thus, dicanaization is the combination of three of the primary methods people use to construct their [[internal realities]] and their [[social realities]]. We define concepts against each other through creating dichotomies, we identify ourselves and each other through categories, and we create narratives where our assigned narrative roles defines our places in the stories we live. All three methods are central to building [[discourse]], [[cateity]] and [[narrative]].
