Guilt by association

Guilt by association is the notion that:

  • 1. A certain group is bad.
  • 2. You are a part of that group.
  • 3. Therefore, you are bad.

When guilt by association is done, the way you are categorized may or may not be called into question. It may thus be either the facet of categorism known as stigmatization or the abstraction of categorism known as categorist co-definitions.
