Group level

Group level refer to how people interact with each other. Social dynamics on a micro level. Such group-dynamics may for better and worse include building social norms for what views, feelings and acts are socially appropriate, encouraged or even mandatory in the group, and which ones are not. These norms may or may not differ significantly from mainstream society.

Intersections

As one of the six levels of categorism, the dogmatic level can intersect with the other levels in ways such as the following:

• Group Level and Individual Level: A person is a part of a group - affecting it and, being affected by it, or both. Categorism can flow not only in either direction, but in both at once - when an individual push the group to further embrace prejudices or bigotries that are already somewhat embraced with the group, this may help the individual to convince himself while also gaining acceptance and influence in the group.

• Group Level and Discursive Level: A categorist discourse is dominant within the group.
• Group Level and Dogmatic Level: A group accepts, or even actively promotes, a categorist doctrine. Believing in the doctrine is accepted, expected, socially desirable, or even mandatory for individuals in the group.
