Apartwelt is a global system, very similar to Apartheid.

Apartheid is a system where different people are assigned different passports/citizenships based on birth, a system where their democratic and social rights depends on which kind of passport they are assigned. In the Apartheid system of South Africa, this categorization was based on an idea about dividing people into different skin-color, a.k.a. "heid".

Apartwelt is a system where different people are assigned different passports based on birth, a system where their democratic and social rights depends on which kind of passport they are assigned. In the apartwelt system of our contemporary globalized society, this categorization is typically based on where the person was born and/or on what passports/citizenships their parents were assigned.

Note that while categorism based on nationality is usually categorized as racism, this site makes a strict distinction between:

  • A.) Categorism based on concepts of race, ethnicity or skin-color - here called racism.
  • B.) Categorism based on concepts of nationality - here called apartwelt.

This distinction is especially important while analyzing the legal levels of categorism: While racist systems of law are long dead and buried, apartwelt is still a core feature of how human civilization on this planet is organized.
