International Treaties Level refers to a facet of categorism being included in agreements made between nations.

This is one of the eight levels of categorism.

Intersections

As one of the eight levels of categorism, the international treaties level can intersect with the other levels in ways such as the following:

  • International Treaties Level and Individual Level: A person considers a categorist global policy to be just, and may use it to excuse personal prejudice and bigotry.
  • International Treaties Level and Group Level: The people in a group considers a categorist global policy to be just, and may use it in their discussions to excuse personal prejudice and bigotry.
  • International Treaties Level and Systemic Level: A pattern of behavior is systemic because it is validated by how the world is organized.
  • International Treaties Level and Structural Level: Local social structures participates in upholding how the world is organized, while also being inspired by the global treaties.
  • International Treaties Level and Discursive Level: International treaties may affect how we talk about things, and the discourse may serve to validate or invisibilize categorist aspects of the treaties.
  • International Treaties Level and Dogmatic Level: Treaties and (political or religious) dogma are used to validate each other.
  • International Treaties Level and Law Level: Local laws and international laws are continuously brought into harmony with each other.
