With the USA being a dominant faction within the global system of [[apartwelt]], this nation tends to be treated (not only by americans, but also by others) to a sometimes frihteningly high degree. For example, In discourse about [[racism]] the terms "white" and "black" tends to be used in ways which would make them nonsensical if they meant anything other than "USA citizen of exclusively caucasian heritage" and "USA citizen of African heritage" respectively.
